James. 4 Posted May 8, 2013 main issue w/ the ^^ is the DW placement, common with all AP reps, it's basically a black and white watch so th lack of the outer measurement "ring" where the DW is is rather obvious. Good looking watch though, if it were a few hundy less...
James. 4 Posted May 8, 2013 M-rep is it, not sure about the Toro version, pics aren't as clear but i'd say so. It's on intime watches and puretime as well as far as I know Thanks mate. Sorry to bother you again but would you be able to post the link of the review from RWI or RG? I did a quick search and couldn't find anything Would like to know what the difference is from the previous version. there seem to be two diff versions on MRs website but they look pretty much the same I cant find a review here, the one I did have was of the old version, (pretty spot on already) the new one has a better DWO (more gen like from the pics ive seen) and correct(er) dial colour
mindvision 0 Posted May 9, 2013 I own the portofino. I get the most compliments on it of all the watches I own but it is by far not a super rep. AR is a major tell. Apart from that it is pretty spot on indeed.

NFleischer 4,355 Posted May 9, 2013 BTW- who does good AR in the CONUS?
mindvision 0 Posted May 9, 2013 ^ agree. But I think that's what makes it a super-rep; not needing to send it in to get it AR'ed Also the strap is a major tell obviously but should change that anyways.

James. 4 Posted May 9, 2013 NB there's "tells" on EVERY rep listed, hence the OP about "demystifying the term "super-rep" ... This is instead, more of a list of “super good looking and quite close to gen”" hence the more leniency afforded to reps that generally wouldn't be classified as such (AP ROOs, CPO, even the ultimate Nautilus and N111 and 127 have very simple and obvious tells if you know what to look for) This is more of a reference point for members, old or new to see what the cream of the crop, the best quality reps there are

ad6904 0 Posted May 10, 2013 (edited) Just out of curiosity, does the V6 rg not make the cut because of the mismatching colour of the hands to the case? Edited May 10, 2013 by ad6904
BMNot 0 Posted May 10, 2013 yeah, they do. the 1% for the ice bang is the AR coat and the 1% for the DSSD pro-hunter (jacques piccard) is the gas escape valve
Pharmo 33 Posted May 30, 2013 Gents... Ive been thinking. Everyone has their area of specialism. This list is amazng but i have to disagree with one thing. Have been doing hell of a lot of research on tags both genuine and reps. The carerra day-date i beleve should be on the tag list from everytning i am reading... Is it better to maybe have a sticky at the top of each watch review section e.g tags, omega, breitling etc and that post will have all the e.g tag superreps and members can expand on that particular brand. What does everyone think?

fatarms 7,777 Posted June 20, 2013 What's the difference between these two Rolex models? Ultimate DSSD Ultimate “Super” sea-dweller (SSD) I believe the second is just the 40mm Sea Dweller, whereas the DSSD is the larger 43mm version.
Starre71 0 Posted June 20, 2013 Thanks! Is the 'pro hunter' version of the DSSD also a superrep?
fatarms 7,777 Posted June 20, 2013 Thanks! Is the 'pro hunter' version of the DSSD also a superrep? To be honest, I don't believe so. I remember it being discussed here a while back and if I remember correctly, it has some big inaccuracies on it such as the wrong caseback and the Pro Hunter being one word on the dial and is two words on the gen, or vice versa... Someone who knows a little more about it should be along here soon to let you know.
