Questions on Hublot Big Bang Evolution 44 inch Rose Gold

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I am a newbie, just decided to buy a Hublot Big Bang Evolution 44 inch Rose Gold.

I did quite a bit of homework actually, I have read several side by side comparisons of gen vs. replicas bought from different dealers, so I think I have checklist of what to look for in the rep I will buy.

Then I went to websites of several trusted dealers and tried to compare the pictures of the watches.

But I couldn't decide without getting an opinion from experienced members out there who knows this watch.

Can you take a look and tell me which one do you think is the closest to the real thing?

Many thanks in advance

No expert but pretty much expect them to all be the same watch. Most dealers source from the same places.

Only exceptions being the second itme from Kuvarsit, no idea about the platinum plate decoration on that one and whether it really is "ultimate".

New TD around here so not sure if anyone has bought these from them to be able to determine what the differences are.

Can't answer your question, but let me put it this way for you - if you buy it and don't like it, I will take it off your hands, just PM me ;)

If you're looking for something closest to gen, a V6 is what you'll want. The biggest difference is in the movement, those versions that aren't V6s are just 7750s with Hublot sticker on the rotor, while the V6 do a much better job at decorating the movement to make it quite close to gen - look for the HUB4100 on the bridge/module thing.

Sooo, given those links, the one from Puretime and #5 would be what you want

Hi bs, there is a member here named theflyingdutchman, he has or has had many, many Hublots. http://www.rwg.bz/board/index.php?showuser=63

I would definitely call him a Hublot expert.

Perhaps shoot him a personal message.

Good luck.

jard89 - sorry mate, should have been mm, not inches :) Also, thank you for the photo!

zero_deficit - I am leaning towards the one on the Puretime. - They are not on the trusted dealer list though. Do any of you guys know if they are trustable? Any purchases etc?

jeffw - Thank you for the tip! I sent him a PM, hope he has some time to answer!

Puretime is a TD over at RWI and the other RWG, have a read of some of their reviews over there. At the end of the day, remember that you are buying the dealer, not the watch, most TDs can get you those ones anyways

Do fancy this one myself.... Just deciding also black or gold bezel..... Is this the bit that is ceramic..

Funny the all gold ones seem to be between $438. And nearly 600 for what looks like he same watch.... .??

OK , sorry to hijack thread a little , but on topic. Was looking at below RG version on Josh's site , but it's same thing on a number of sites

Going bit cross eyed on this one in terms of differences? Price difference is quite a bit between the 2... Anybody with more 'Blot' knowledge throw any light on this......?

The cheaper one is a V6, and the other isn't, but it's costs nearly $300 more?? I haven't seen a HBB for more than $500 unless it was a ceramic or tungsten version or a tourby. Very peculiar, typo perhaps?

Yes that's what I thought, $438 seems about right for V6..... But the other is in tourby price bracket, have seen as you say full ceramic, tungsten are meant to be in that area..... Personally for me though irrespective of closeness to gen , light weight watches to me feel cheap.. But that's just personal.

I would think it was a typo , but as I said its not just Josh's site, it is on others too.. That's the strange thing
