First vintage PAM build. Pics.

Hi guys, well I finally did it after a few frustrating months collecting bits here and there. Started out buying Gerrys (GRB) case set that came from River. Nice shiny 6152 no CG.. Decided to vintagise so set to with my files and sandpaper as per one of Mellons tutorials ( that guy knows his stuff). Gerry came up with the hands too which we're slightly garish for a vintage so I stripped and lightly sanded the gilt then relumed with vintage Lume , then a little coffee dip.

The dial finally arrived again via River and I opted for a sterile dial. I know they're not everyone's cup of tea but the colour and texture on this blew me away so I had to have it. He also supplied the base A6497 which runs her like a little train. Great movements these.

The plexi was the one thing I needed to get right and I wanted tall and thick. Picked this one up over on WH 6mm thick and weighty. Had to glue this in but I was really pleased. Also bought some hand made spring bars to hold Gerrys gorgeous leather strap which I think is from a French ammo.

Anyway the easy bit was putting it all together. I'm pleased.

Looks great Edwin but I would invest 10 GBP in a high canon pinion and hour wheel (H3).

Yep I did think about it but just wanted to get it done as I'd waited so long lol. Probably will do at some point in the near future, either that or the tall hands Athaya does. Cheers john.
