Drhulee 0 Posted April 18, 2010 I've got three or four palp&T48-like spring loaded crowns that need cleaning. I was thinking about tossing them into the ultrasonic, but thought maybe that wasn't the best idea for the spring-loaded mechanism. Any advice?
RolexAddict 1 Posted April 18, 2010 soak in denatured petroleum or gas, I use jetA1 (jet aircraft gas) to remove dirt from little parts with springs inside like crowns
Drhulee 0 Posted April 18, 2010 Thanks, I'll give that a try with one of them and see how it works out.
RolexAddict 1 Posted April 18, 2010 aceton work also, but could be abrasive if you are not sure of the material composition. For exemple, I soak Chinese movement parts in aceton to check if they have gen jewels (synthetic rubies) or plastic.... as aceton will eat most of "plastic" jewels...
