conx 0 Posted April 27, 2013 So what's in the box? I've been drooling over an Omega Speedmaster Date (323.30.40.40.06.001) for quite sometime, so today, accompanied by my Accountant (Mrs Conx) I saw it in an AD's window. I thought, let's try it on....... even Mrs Conx had to admit it was gorgeous, the grey dial picks up light like I have never seen before! I pondered a bit and then asked what the best price they could do it for. Well they knocked £480 off, just like that ! I had no choice - it was mine Inside beats an Omega Caliber 3304 movement, it is 40mm which for me is my sweet spot. This beauty is not coming off my wrist for quite some time ! DR3M3L 4 Posted April 27, 2013 What was the price of the shoes you gave her just before going to the AD? Great watch mate, wear it in good health.
scorpion 0 Posted April 27, 2013 I need to get myself a much better accountant Looks great, but only 40mm? it does look a lot bigger or have you small wrists? Also they have misspelt Seamsteri on the clasp - its supposed to have an i in it, thats what my TD told me!
frogflyer 6 Posted April 27, 2013 Very nice! This is exactly why I stay out of the malls!
conx 0 Posted April 27, 2013 Looks great, but only 40mm? it does look a lot bigger or have you small wrists? I have 7.25 inch (ish) wrists. But 42mm seems to be my absolute maximum, anything bigger just doesnt seem to work for me - I guess thay is why I have never managed to get into Pams. gmchris 68 Posted April 27, 2013 Verrry nice. I couldn't imagine a grey dial looking nice, but now I have seen it mmmm . Liking the subtle convex links too, almost seamaster but not too heavyweight. Oh an red-tipped second hands are the future!
Stuntman 0 Posted April 30, 2013 You might have 'saved' £480 on the watch, but I bet it got spent on Mrs Conx Beautiful watch

conx 0 Posted April 30, 2013 Thanks guys. Yep, the £480 saving was but a fleeting pleasure - she's spent it in Jaeger today on clothes ! That's it for me for a while. I can't afford another watch....... At least that's what I've told her indoors
