Skrimps 3 Posted April 29, 2013 Here is mine on a French ammo strap.
JohnPilot 1 Posted April 29, 2013 I have this 373 on my radar since a week. If only the hands could meet the color of dial indexes it would be perfect (enough) for me.
Abagnale 0 Posted April 29, 2013 unfortunately there is no accurate rep of the 373. the hands are very thin and look cheap. if i recall correct, the crystal should be a domed plexi. cheers
Skrimps 3 Posted April 29, 2013 Agree with the above, compared to the original it's way off. With that being said though the rep is a great looking watch. If you get it knowing that it's not 100% accurate then you should be happy with it. Keep in mind though the GEN I believe goes for 30k so if you are trying to pass it off as a GEN make sure you are not driving around in a Honda. :-D
greymda 0 Posted April 29, 2013 ))) just sold a Honda watch, couldn't wore it in a BMW ))
greymda 0 Posted April 30, 2013 given the fact that it's a 47mm, what wrist size it is best to "fit" it ?
Skrimps 3 Posted April 30, 2013 Well I have crazy small wrist (think of a girls wrist) and I think I can pull the 47 mm off. It really just depends on what you feel comfortable wearing. Here are a few wrist shots to show you hall small my wrist looks with this thing on it.
greymda 0 Posted April 30, 2013 got it. astonishing watch!
Whorologist 227 Posted April 30, 2013 we need a KW version of this beauty!
greg_r 83 Posted May 1, 2013 Well, you're never going to get an accurate rep of this as the gen has a platinum case! However, there are several reps around that capture the style of the thing and manage to be good-looking watches even if they're not that close to gen. Here's mine - I wear it quite a bit:
greymda 0 Posted May 1, 2013 are you using a 24mm or 26mm strap? it's my first watch of this type (always had quartz and small) - i cannot understand do these 2mm really matter?
Skrimps 3 Posted May 1, 2013 The 373 uses a 26 mm strap.
greymda 0 Posted May 1, 2013 mm, so i can't use a 24mm with it?
DR3M3L 4 Posted May 1, 2013 Ok, never had one myself, and maybe this'll be a stupid question... But how do you change the strap on this? Lol
Skrimps 3 Posted May 1, 2013 Well you can use a 24mm on it but it will not look right. Will look too small on it. Joran... it is a pain in the ass!!! On the back of the case there are two little screws on each end, each on of those screws holds in a little arm that the strap goes on. If you build a strap for it that is just a tad bit over the 26 mm it makes it really really hard to get it to work right. That's the only thing I can't stand about this watch. onionbag 1 Posted May 1, 2013 The best way to change the strap is the sellotape method. Cover the screws with sellotape, and don't completely unscrew them. Stops them coming out and getting lost, and protects the case.
Abagnale 0 Posted May 1, 2013 strap on radiomirs is 27mm, no?
Skrimps 3 Posted May 1, 2013 This is a 26 mm, don't know if a 27 would have fit on it. Here is the write up for the Gen. J.Eric 693 Posted May 1, 2013 That is really nice!! I have a homage very similar to this. Built it from a Molnija pocket watch and Getat case and a dial from ebay.
