parisianshut 0 Posted May 2, 2013 i received my wonderful AP diver two weeks ago and decided to clean the glass on the inside that had some black dust on it. i removed the stem in position 1 : winding i did that because of my precedent work on the hangzou movement (see thread HERE) . everybody told me so toavoid the keyless problem. Everything went flawlessly but when i decided to put the stem back in the movement : it got back in but no winding, no hour change, no date change. i removed the stem a few times and tried again: everytime i had a different configuration : - date change only, impossible to change to position 1 or 3 - winding only, impossible to move to position 2 or 3. - Nothing nothing. do i have to dismantle the entire movement to get this thing to work ? i am kind of lazy right now to get back in the heart of the watch. is this the good tuto : http://www.rwg.bz/board/index.php?showtopic=4295 http://www.rwg.bz/board/index.php?showtopic=4315 thanks. this keyless thing is still a bit nebulous to me. J.Eric 693 Posted May 2, 2013 I am not really sure what is going on. My only guess is that you pushed the release a little too hard?? Those tutorials are great though. They are the same ones I used when I did my first keyless. I have never taken apart my diver, but I believe there are extra pieces between the dial and the movement. JohnPilot 1 Posted May 2, 2013 I had exactly the same issue with my V3.5. Never had this before.
jerkstore 14 Posted May 2, 2013 It sounds like you might have a keyless issue, so thats where you should start. To reset it, you only have to disassemble a portion of the top half of the movement, check for any damage an reassemble. But first, you would need to de-case the movement, remove the dial hands and date wheel. The tutorials you linked will help. There are other good ones, too. PM me if you want more info. FYI: I always push the stem release with the crown in the winding position, with a screwdriver >= 1mm.
parisianshut 0 Posted May 8, 2013 Just fixed it! I followed the tutorial and everything went well! I'm happy to have it back! Conclusion: never push the stem release button too far!!
