I don't get the appeal of strapping an airplane gauge to your wrist. Anything on mesh. Sorry, but nothing ruins a watch faster than mesh. Pretty sure I've pissed off a good part of the membership already, I'll just quit now have to agree with your choices very much so but some mesh... Don't know why but I'd think on the boat cruising the lake or ocean it'd look good on a dive watch. Frankt8242 1 Posted May 5, 2013 Gotta agree about the "Plopper", but I had always wanted one since seeing Cousteau wearing the prototype at a restaurant in Conn. last century....Not being crazy (or wealthy) enough to by a real one, I was overjoyed to see a decent rep come out a couple of years ago, and I jumped(thankfully!!) on one of the cheap V 1.5's back then...I went through the whole "wear it every day" fetish for a few months, and now it sits virtually unused in my watch box... It's still mine, and will always be, but it is ugly!! I do also have a Hublot super cheapo that I picked up out of curiosity @ 4 yrars ago for $25. How anyone can hate that is beyond me. The Montauk is also great if you stick it on a decent complimenting hornback strap. I would have put rolex on my fugly list when I started out here.
