radekglaz 0 Posted May 21, 2013 Hi All Since some time I have been looking for old GMT 1675 rep as gen like as possible. And finally I get this one: It is early RolexAddict mod. It has new plexi from Clark, case and CG are reshaped and new dial. The watch looks OK for me except the dial. I think that dial is not correct (text). What do you think? Needs to be replaced? Thanks Radek

conx 0 Posted May 21, 2013 If you can't tell if it is correct, how will anybody else? Accept it for what it is - a great replica - and enjoy it.
radekglaz 0 Posted May 21, 2013 (edited) I think the text colour in not as white as should be and 1675's dials only say "Oyster Perpetual" but I am not an expert... Edited May 21, 2013 by radekglaz
jerkstore 14 Posted May 21, 2013 I think the text colour in not as white as should be and 1675's dials only say "Oyster Perpetual" but I am not an expert... Yes, the 1675's didn't say "date" on the dial. That's because they didn't have a quickset date feature. And you can't get away with calling it a 16750, because their "date" dials were glossy, not matte. Also, the 24hr hand was not independent in the 1575 movement. It followed the hour hand around the dial and always pointed to 12 at midnight. The GMT feature was accessed by turning the bezel. As for the text color, you would expect some aging on a 45 year old watch, no? IMHO, your watch looks really nice. If youre really stuck on the details, you could always try to redial it if you want. But that might be difficult. Probably easier to sell it and find one that has the details you're looking for.
