boneyjr 1 Posted May 30, 2013 I am happy to report that yesterday I took receipt of my latest purchase: the KW 312 (just in time for my trip to Barbados!). As we already all know, this is an outstanding replica. This finish and build are simply amazing, the dial and date window are perfect (as far as I can tell) and the rep strap isn't bad at all. The factory should really be applauded for their replication of the 312 movement. To me, this seems to be a game changer in the making. I am by no means a Panerai expert; however, I do see one area that could use improvement: AR. That's about it. Enjoy some iPhone pics:

hidefguy 0 Posted May 30, 2013 (edited) Yea, AR needs work.. oh, and the dirt in the CG engraving is soon to be gone! That's the 2nd "dirt" in the CG engraving that I've seen posted, the previous person said that it's only visible in pictures but not to the naked eye. Is this the same for you? btw beautiful watch, this is on my to get list. Edited May 30, 2013 by hidefguy

Whorologist 227 Posted May 30, 2013 sigh....the tempting photos and reviews keep coming in. Does it make sense to buy this if you already have a 111? please tell me no
ALE7575 24 Posted May 30, 2013 Yea, AR needs work.. oh, and the dirt in the CG engraving is soon to be gone! Gen AR is not very strong in this type of PAM watches. See below gen pics ALE
boneyjr 1 Posted May 30, 2013 sigh....the tempting photos and reviews keep coming in. Does it make sense to buy this if you already have a 111? please tell me no I sold my 005 to fund this... I hate not having a date window. 111 doesn't have a date window -- sell it and get this.
Burrogs 0 Posted May 31, 2013 The improved ease in strap change alone is worth getting this over the 111 IMO.

Cant justify haveing both though....too similar looking from a distance IMHO. I want to stay away from PAMs for a while to build a more varied collection but these bloody KWs.... sardonix 1 Posted June 5, 2013 Very nice pics and watch. What is the problem about the AR in your opinion.
1littlegreen 1 Posted June 5, 2013 Very nice! Have to give the factory a hand for the date and the movement. Can barely read the date on my 312 and the movement is trash compared to this. Worth it to grab one of these.
Flipper81 0 Posted June 5, 2013 Love the movement on this
dave0280 0 Posted June 5, 2013 I'm torn between selling my 111 as well to get one of these or even the 417 limited editions. Arrggghhh.
boneyjr 1 Posted June 5, 2013 Very nice pics and watch. What is the problem about the AR in your opinion. There just seems to be a bit more glare than you would want. However, the gens also seem to be this way. So maybe its not a problem.

Have you had any problems with the rotor coming loose? I've seen a handful of people with rotor problems.
Greystash 0 Posted June 6, 2013 Hey boneyir, thanks for posting it looks great. As much as I love leather straps on Pams does anyone know what, if any, SS Bracelets fit this new 312 0 Series? I've always wanted to try a SS Bracelet on a PAM.
boneyjr 1 Posted June 9, 2013 No problems with the rotor so far (fingers crossed).
Kleen™ 45 Posted June 9, 2013 I received my second KW312 with the revised rotor mount on friday, and in the interest of the forum and good science I decided to drop it repeatedly from the rooftop of a skyscraper to see if the rotor would come of. Awrye, I didn't - but this revised version does indeed look, feel and sound much better than the first one I got. Especially up-close under the loupe. I've stopped worrying and ordered the KW359 as well, as it shares the same movement.
