"Kit Bash" projects

Recommended Posts

Hey guys.

We had a rainy Saturday so I took some old and new parts and put together a pretty cool little hybrid. Modelers using parts from several model kits to make one that is either better, or unavailable as a kit on its own is a term called "kit bashing". This is where I got the name from...

Anyone else put together "kit bash" watches? Post 'em here!

Here's the one I just finished:

I like the ProPlof style hands on the clean black Sub dial. It is a glossy dial (not my choice) but it looks pretty nice. I thought the chrome surround on the indicies would look weird with colored hands, but it looks pretty cool! I have a different dial inbound and may change the bezel ring too, but this is a decent knock-around watch.

Swiss ETA under the hood that I took the date stuff off and the hacking pin is broken off. So, it is a no-date, non-hacking ETA now. Dial has a date window so that's a bit weird too, but I'll change the dial like I said.

Let's see yours!
