Help on buying a Cartier Roadster, real ???

I have a guy that has a never worn Cartier xl Roadster with box and paperwork etc. It has an auto movement and blk face. He wants 1000.00 for it

 

How do I know for sure its real and not a rep ?? Anyone I can call with numbers off back or tell tale signs ??

Take it to a jeweler, they will be able to tell.

You and the guy should go to a respected jeweler and take the back off to verify the movement. If he is unwilling to do that, I would walk away. $1000 sounds a little ridiculous for an unworn Roadster Chronograph.
