Just to check, are you holding it or using a tripod?

Looking a little bit like you have motion blur on the top two?

Nice depth of field on the bottom one though

Nope, i have lost my tripod so i just have to try and hold it still ( witch im not very good at )

Nice depth of field on the bottom one though

Thanks.

Like i said im not very good with a camera ive never really used them only disposable ones on holiday and stuff.. intill i started getting watches.

Really need a tripod or something to sit the camera on for the close up shots to be as good as you would like. Maybe a little more light if you can. How about a picture of the light box itself?

Nice Seiko by the way.

Sam, without a tripod it's almost impossible to shoot a nice clear crisp pic (especially macro!).

You don't have to spend much on one either, hell I use one that cost .99 cents.

Good shots Sam, you can tell there's no tripod, but you'll learn as you go along, try to set your camera up on a box or something, and put it on self timer so you're not hand holding.

Also, if you're using one or even two lamps, don't move the watch to get rid of reflections or get better lghting, move the lamps. ;)

Hope that helps!

More light and/or a tripod will allow you to shoot at a lower ISO, which will make your pictures less grainy.

This was taken handheld:

It's pretty sharp because I braced my hand on my chest and was leaning against a wall; a makeshift "tripod". Also, I shot it outside in indirect lighting.

Very nice picture Doc :)

I guess one advantage of your age is that you don't need a tripod because your hands move so slowly anyway ;)
