Member X 91 Posted May 17, 2010 Just to check, are you holding it or using a tripod? Looking a little bit like you have motion blur on the top two? Nice depth of field on the bottom one though

Maybe a little more light if you can. How about a picture of the light box itself? Nice Seiko by the way.
GC 4,494 Posted May 18, 2010 Sam, without a tripod it's almost impossible to shoot a nice clear crisp pic (especially macro!). You don't have to spend much on one either, hell I use one that cost .99 cents.
Baldrick 1 Posted May 18, 2010 Good shots Sam, you can tell there's no tripod, but you'll learn as you go along, try to set your camera up on a box or something, and put it on self timer so you're not hand holding. Also, if you're using one or even two lamps, don't move the watch to get rid of reflections or get better lghting, move the lamps. Hope that helps!
AllergyDoc 40 Posted May 18, 2010 More light and/or a tripod will allow you to shoot at a lower ISO, which will make your pictures less grainy. This was taken handheld: It's pretty sharp because I braced my hand on my chest and was leaning against a wall; a makeshift "tripod". Also, I shot it outside in indirect lighting. rc42 0 Posted May 18, 2010 Very nice picture Doc I guess one advantage of your age is that you don't need a tripod because your hands move so slowly anyway
