Time set issue

Hey guys, one of the watches I sold with Swiss movement somehow died enroute. It can wind, go to quick date set, but apparently full out position "just spins". I'm thinking there's an issue with the clutch / hacking lever. Thoughts? It was shipped fully secured with crown screwed down so unsure what happened.

When you say spins,do you mean the second hand spins fast of it's own accord ?

The crown just spins freely and doesn't set the time. The first position does wind the watch and the second does do quick date set (even though the watch doesn't have a date).

I purchased the watch. At the date stop the crown spins with a tiny amount of clicking, as if it is brushing by a gear. When I pull it out to the third stop, the crown just spins freely and smoothly.
