Cynikal.Mindset 1 Posted August 6, 2013 (edited) picked up some parts from Shaidx (on RWI) to change the look of my ROO rubberclad to change it to stainless bezel which I think looks better but in case I didn't like it I grabbed a new spare rubber bezel from him as well since mine had a nick in it. pretty straight forward swap since the steel bezel had the crystal already in it. you need the stainless bezel and bezel gasket (thick rubber between the bezel and the case) as the rubber clad one is slightly different and may allow water to get past it as it has a different shape per the underside of the bezel (rubber clad is octagon shape and steel is round and the seals match to each) so basically you take the case apart, used a custom case screw lug tool I made up and swap the parts and put it all back together...pretty simple task and completely changes the look. couple pics for reference. bezel could use a refinish to look mint but leaving it with some signs of wear makes it look like it's been worn and loved...I'll probably refinish it later tho.
