HeavyKrush 16 Posted August 10, 2013 Just picked this up from ellistyle1. Way off from the gen but a sharp looking watch. Date wheel is quite a bit sunken but I don't mind. Will for sure be swapping out the strap. This one's 21J. Pics now...
ellistyle1 0 Posted August 10, 2013 Your pics make me repent of my decision to off this one. Thanks again, brother.
HeavyKrush 16 Posted August 10, 2013 Thanks man. Will give you a few days notice next time I'm in town and you can drool over it again in person.
TheSav 2 Posted August 10, 2013 That looks quite smart. I like the colour of the dial.
HeavyKrush 16 Posted August 11, 2013 Thanks. Thought the dial color was grey, but it's brown. Now I have to source some brown croc.

SB56667 155 Posted August 11, 2013 Get a proper strap on that baby and you'll be in business.
HeavyKrush 16 Posted August 11, 2013 Get a proper strap on that baby and you'll be in business. Yep. Really needs to be on a decent brown croc or gator.
HeavyKrush 16 Posted August 11, 2013 Sorry gents, misspoke about the movement. Upon closer inspection appears to be an ST (or TY) 2530 rather than a 21J.
ellistyle1 0 Posted August 11, 2013 Not familiar with that movement. It is misrepresented on Timeshops site then--apologies for perpetuating that. Is 2530 decent?
HeavyKrush 16 Posted August 12, 2013 The quality is awesome E. I think this one's actually Seagull so no worries there. As to is it better than a 21J, maybe, but I don't care. It has the same beat rate but will small sec's @9 who would notice a faster rate. It's a sweet watch. Plan on wearing it tomorrow. I love the PR indicator. ellistyle1 0 Posted August 12, 2013 Yup the simple face and the PR are what led me to it initially. I'm glad it landed on the right wrist.
andyjb83 0 Posted August 12, 2013 beautiful looking watch hk. what's your beef with the strap? i'm yet to receive a rep watch but members seem to comment elsewhere that with reps they're generally not of a good quality... is it just standard leather vs croc or calf...? HeavyKrush 16 Posted August 12, 2013 A, it's just thin and stiff and has more of a plastic look rather than croc. There are some decent rep straps out there, but it's been my experience that the strap is usually the weak link on reps, particularly with gator. One of the reasons I bought this watch was just to make a strap for it.
