Olly 0 Posted August 11, 2013 Hi fellas, I'm starting to really like the DSSD more and more but when my Dad had the BK DSSD i felt that the quality was not that good. The clasp was poorly made, as was the bracelet and worst of all, the pearl was dreadful. The mods that BK did however where nice. I want to find a DSSD that has great engravings on the insert with a Gen like pearl. I would like a bracelet and clasp that feels very solid and one that doesn't rattle. There are so many versions of the DSSD i really am stuck. I know that the BP version has the Gen construction but the quality is not brilliant. So i'm asking all of the DSSD experts, which DSSD should i get. I've looked at the Vaccum DSSD over on RG but the price is a bit steep. It is what i'm looking for though ! SheriffWho 0 Posted August 11, 2013 +1 for BK... No rep is perfect but this is the best out of box dssd you'll find. My bracelet and clasp are perfectly good so not sure about your dads... Once you mod the bezel (pearl/triangle) which is not immediately needed, you have a close to perfect dssd! Best! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Haven't attempted install yet. Too busy, but as for bezel... Looks spot on. Once I get this on, my BK will be 95% perfect in looks... The only other mods I may do would be a matte dial mod with a superlume. Maybe even an AR undercoat on crystal. If I get around to those, it'll be 99% in my opinion... Also if anyone wearings Rolex or Breitling... they would say fake. Only problem with mine BK is it's not lumed, and triangle isn't perfect. other than that... nothing much. Olly 0 Posted August 11, 2013 Well the issue with the clasp was the following: Engravings looked messy and looked as if they where burned on The pivot point in the middle of the clasp that lifts up for the 2mm micro adjust, the pivot hinge was drilled through the other parts of the clasp The engraving rubbed off very easily Clasp did not close properly micro adjust would slip when you shook your wrist Thats about it. :( Olly Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The engraving rubbed off very easily - So far it haven't rubbed off on mine --- was ok on mine.
