speedzmaster 0 Posted May 31, 2010 How do you do it? Do I need a special tool, other than a hammer?
Luthier 1 Posted May 31, 2010 Remove caseback, remove movement, then push both inside.
speedzmaster 0 Posted May 31, 2010 (edited) You can't remove the movement before removing the pushers. Plus, there is no movement in the case. This is a case I ordered from my Rolex/Tudor source. I need to remove the pushers because their pins are blocking the insertion of the movement. Edited May 31, 2010 by speedzmaster
speedzmaster 0 Posted May 31, 2010 (edited) Pics of the pushers. Locked: Unlocked: Pics of the Tudor crown and Tudor bracelet: I also have the Rolex crown with the correct 'trip-lock' engravings. Edited May 31, 2010 by speedzmaster
fakemaster 0 Posted May 31, 2010 You can't remove the movement before removing the pushers. Sorry it's the other way around. You can't remove the pushers until you remove the movement. You have to buy a pusher removal tool in order to get them out. Try ofrei.
RolexAddict 1 Posted May 31, 2010 I suppose puschers are locked with a circlips, like a half cicled piece of metal right ? You should see the lock system unscrewing the pushers and push them If its like this, hold pressure on the pusher and pop of the circlips with a small screwdriver. It was like that on my Daytona.
Luthier 1 Posted May 31, 2010 That's what I told him in shoutbox. Spedzmaster, you should to post that picture, that you showed to me, with parts of disassembled pushers.
speedzmaster 0 Posted May 31, 2010 I just don't see how I can insert the movement without removing the pushers first. And, once the pushers are removed and the movement is inserted, how am I suppose to get the pushers back in?
RolexAddict 1 Posted May 31, 2010 pusher arms often must be shortened - remove half/ to one mm if the movement doesn't slip free inside the case. If you have micro tools/dremel and skills you can shorten the pusher arms without disassemble them. You cannot install a movement and then install pushers. Pushers have to be installed before, and then the movement is put inside the case. And if you remove to much metal, the timing will be of, and the chrono will not operate
OHMYGODITSAPANERAI 0 Posted May 31, 2010 I agree with Rolex Addict, there is no need to remove the chrono pushers to insert a movement. In fact, with a steady hand, the pushers arms can be shortened without removing them. I can tell from looking at the pics that those arms are REALLY long. (in relative terms). speedzmaster 0 Posted May 31, 2010 Yes. That's what I thought too. I'll file them down or something.
RolexAddict 1 Posted June 1, 2010 Place a little rounded piece of plastic or so to protect the saphire inside the case and use a dremel wit a cutter or a sanding disc
