greg_r 83 Posted August 22, 2013 Okay, before I really get pissed (it's been a LONG day!), I figured I'd post a review of my latest Seiko acquisition. This is the 100th anniversary limited edition monster. Ordered it from an Amazon US affiliate last week, they shipped it to our son in SC who then shipped it to me. Arrived yesterday. I'll admit I can't resist the blue/gold combo - and this watch does it well. The gradient dial is particularly appealing along with the high gloss on the blue bezel. In other respects it's just the same as any other 2nd generation monster - an improved movement over the original version with the possibility of hand-winding, but otherwise just a sold, exceptionally well-built diver for a reasonable price. Lume is as exceptional as all the other monsters - bright and long-lasting. These being a limited edition and part of Seiko's 'superior' series are a little more expensive than the standard Monster, but are still damned good value. My only criticism is the strap - and then only because I hate rubber straps. I'll be picking up a bracelet for this in due course. Having said that, the rubber strap is less 'clammy' feeling than many I've tried in the past. I just love the look of this thing - I can see it getting a LOT of wear Pics
Del 4,527 Posted August 22, 2013 Fantastic watch mate! Damn shame that the hour hand is missing though. However, since I can't tell the time I would be more than willing to buy this from you.....

Del 4,527 Posted August 22, 2013 Btw, i am SERIOUSLY thinking of getting this... Cant find anywhere in uk. Can anyone help with regards to uk retailer? Can't get them here mate - 1,000 for the US only. Bastards! Amazon US is your best bet with a nice US member to tranship for you to help reduce the risk of import charges. Having said that, they are getting harder to find now... .....the watch that is, not the nice US member!

I find the bracelet on eBay, etc. but only pictures and reviews of the shroud, not for sale.
