fustyler 0 Posted August 24, 2013 I have been struggling to install a crystal bought from Domi into my AP diver. I followed the instructions from past tutorials and press the crystal from the inside of the bezel outwards. I tried two different presses with a lot of force but yet the crystal still won't go in. Cynikal.Mindset 1 Posted August 24, 2013 I use a modified bench vice to press crystals in and I'll tell you something an AP crystal puts up more of a struggle than anything else I have ever done and this is with a BIG bench vice. I have a feeling a flimsy little crystal press doesn't have enuogh leverage to press the crystal in...try adding an extension to the handle to get more leverage Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
fustyler 0 Posted August 24, 2013 Maldonado, I am install a new crystal after pressed out an old one. I am pressing in the correct direction, from inside to outside of bezel. When I compare the size of the crystal of new and old, the Domi crystal seems to be about half a mm bigger than the crystal from stock crystal on v3.5. I wrapped the gasket around new crystal, but then discover that I am not able to put the crystal around the old crystal since it has been stretched by the new crystal.
