James. 4 Posted August 29, 2013 Let's face it, not a bad dilemma to have but sadly i'm too cheap ATM to go the DSSD/FF route ( Jeff ) I'm NOT looking for a Breitling/Omega/Rolex watch, more something a lot less common and unique. What would you chose? (I'm expecting the Tudor to win by a landslide) Eterna Tudor Pelagos Pontos S diver Oris Aquis depth gauge
TheSav 2 Posted August 29, 2013 Hands down the Tudor! Followed by the Eterna, Pontos and Oris.
Wriggles 12 Posted August 29, 2013 I'd go Pontos, just a little different to other divers for me.
edwinowl 180 Posted August 29, 2013 Pontos for me James. Very different.

Mystery Shopper 5,887 Posted August 29, 2013 None of the above. I'd see what Offshore has in his Squale stock- I was looking at this dial a couple of weeks ago.

Realism 72 Posted August 29, 2013 is value retention important?
James. 4 Posted August 29, 2013 Not really, I know the oris and ML (not out yet) will halve in value over the next year or so, the ETA is ltd and hard as fk to find, now Tudor is in the states their resale will ease off too.
Kcore 0 Posted August 29, 2013 James, as a diver myself, it's the Oris hands down! If you're truly looking for "unique", the Oris Aquis depth gauge is it. It's the first watch ( i believe this is so) to incorporate a Boyle Marriott volume gauge in the crystal. Good luck with whatever you select.
gran 198 Posted August 29, 2013 I refuse to vote..how can you name a reasonable diver Ponto :P
James. 4 Posted August 29, 2013 I know, I've reread the reviews about a dozen times plus, ceramic... buuuut ETA has the awesome pillow case, Tudor is a awesome watch in its own right, I can probably mark off the ML, too similar to my halios...
trailboss99 994 Posted August 30, 2013 Oris! It's a stunna of a watch in person. If not that then the KonTiki. I don't like the Pelagos, too plain and too light. PS: Why no love for the Eterna?

cheeese 0 Posted August 30, 2013 (edited) If you are looking for a good tool diver the Pelagos would be top of my list followed up by a Marathon SAR. Edited August 30, 2013 by cheeese
