Chopard Mille Migla Superfast Chrono.. (Pic Heavy)

Recommended Posts

Zachthebaker

So while on my recent vacation I decided to take advantage of the tax free benefits of buying a watch at sea on a cruise ship. I had quite a few to choose from as they had ALOT of inventory. I narrowed it down to 3 watches.. A beautiful Tag Monaco, and 2 Chopard mille migla's. Obviously you will see that I chose the Chopard with chrono.... HOWEVER I was torn because the non-chrono mille migla was a years previous model and back then they made the rubber strap scented like vanilla. I know I will sound stupid saying this, but that "feature" really put a smile on my face.. But after weighing options I decided a gen certified chrono was much cooler than a vanilla smelling strap (they no longer make the scented strap).

On to the PICS

The cool little racing theme features are so detailed on this watch

A day after buying it I thought maybe I should have gotten something a little less thick as far as the case goes, but I shortly let that go. I dig the case..

Every gen I have ever bought in the past has been on a bracelet.. I was very taken back when comparing a gen clasp to some of my reps.. really not much different.

you can almost make out that the strap is tire tread

and you gotta throw the wrist shot in there

This watch is my new favorite, and the missus least favorite as I time everything... when she tells me she is ready to go "CLICK"... it actually has sped her up a bit!

hope you guys enjoy

thanks guys... Replica watches for a while had me feeling a little dumb for spending big chunks of change on gen watches since some are just SO SO SOOOOO damn close to gen.. but buying this one gave me the same excitement of any new watch (gen or rep) I ever get.. and hell its something for my kids to eventually sell in a pawn shop some day to finance some irresponsible decision.

I loke the vanilla strap. My wifes UN gen had this strap too, she didn't find anything inconvenient.

Enjoy this great watch. Looks good.

Interesting how the vanilla strap is like marmite. Some like it, others think it is cheap rubbish and try to get rid of the smell. According to Gene Stone in his book "The Watch" early Hublots were "placed on high quality vanilla-scented rubber straps which were mocked at first but have since been emulated by many others" So the vanilla smell is actually closer to the gen, and something to be admired.
