Zachthebaker 0 Posted September 22, 2013 Interesting how the vanilla strap is like marmite. Some like it, others think it is cheap rubbish and try to get rid of the smell. According to Gene Stone in his book "The Watch" early Hublots were "placed on high quality vanilla-scented rubber straps which were mocked at first but have since been emulated by many others" So the vanilla smell is actually closer to the gen, and something to be admired. Unless it makes you want to throw up.. :suck: when the sales girl showed me one and said the strap was vanilla scented I thought she was bull shitting..
