I am *this* close to getting a Blue Angel, with the blue/yellow strap. Should I go for it?

Yes, get it. I wanted a skyhawk Blue Angel for a long time, finally I went for it, and am very happy I did. :)

I've had a Citizen chrono for years and don't ever move more than 10 feet from the owner's manual. Nice watch, many functions, great for wearing when mowing the lawn. So I bought another Citizen, this one with no subdials, atomic timekeepiing,, and all the time zones but with the added bonus of being so simple that I don't have to cart the manual around. Citizen makes really nice watches, but too many are too fancy for me.

I found a very simple method to deal with all of that. Have the dealer set it up, and NEVER fuck with it after that! :D
