chunkyskillz 0 Posted October 3, 2013 (edited) I fell in love with this watch. Almost bought the gen but decided to save the money for something else. So here I am, looking for a good rep of IWC portuguese chrono. So after a few diggings, My main concerns are: - Any AR coatings on these babies - Learnt there are a lot of movement issues with the 3714 Should I get the watch at all? I welcome all sort of opinion. If so, where should i get it? is the piece from TD solid enough. Or is there anyone supplying a more solid modded version? Prancuzas 0 Posted October 4, 2013 If You can afford gen (more or less), look for frankens for sell (with gen dial, hands, movement) it's usually about 1000-1500euros. as for stock one from china - i wouldnt buy that one
zero_deficit 0 Posted October 4, 2013 If youre buying stock - Buy a slightly less accurate quartz version (and have the second hand frozen if the ticking bothers you) - Get a jewel mod for the transfer gears - Get the movement serviced and graphite treatment (temporary fix) - Freeze the second subdial - Buy it and cross as many fingers (and toes) as you can
746_heuer 0 Posted October 12, 2013 After so much researching about the 7750 version of this rep I didn't run the risk and reached the conclusion that the next best thing is the tag 1887 http://tswatchltd.com/14274-14274.html not a super rep, but reliable, with a very elegant date window and very similar looks
