TAGster 5 Posted July 1, 2010 Yup, very cool indeed. I know there aren´t many TAG Heuer fans here, but I think the innovation in the movement is interesting. Maybe, some old school horologists would say taking out the hairspring is like, taking out some watch movement escence, and maybe they are right, I like a lot the beauty of the movement with and hairsping in the oscilator, but one thing is sure: we are in a technological era, and innovations are everywhere, so is kind of impossible for watchmaking to be indifferent to that. trailboss99 996 Posted July 4, 2010 As a budding 'smith I think it's brilliant ( you guys ever tried to replace a hair spring?). So many problems are balance related and this solves quite a few of them. It will never replace 'old skool' hairspring balance wheels entirely, nor should it, but it will make great inroads and the probable increase in accuracy is huge. Col.
