Steve227 0 Posted July 2, 2010 Now, I know nothing about Panerai however felt that I should try one out. I bought this awhile back. Needs a new strap so am hoping Bob can sort something out for me. Appreciate some feedback from some Panerai enthusiasts. One flaw I can see is the pin. Opinions good or bad? Should I be embarrassed to put it on the wrist?!?! Who knows! Lume shot didn't come out so great so apologies. Cheers everyone!
trailboss99 994 Posted July 2, 2010 Looks good to me. Why you should not be worried overly about canon pins: With thanks to Fakemaster. Col.

Fiddo 0 Posted July 2, 2010 It looks OK. The first PAM I purchased looks very much like the one you have. I still wear it. If you like the watch...wear it. Who cares what complete strangers think.

greg_r 81 Posted July 2, 2010 Fc: No shit...? I thought it was made of jello.... Steve: That looks like a pretty reasonable watch. Yes, the cannon pin is a tad short, but frankly life is much shorter Stick a decent strap on it, wear it and enjoy!

Steve227 0 Posted July 3, 2010 great response TB Steve---it looks good. Only error I see is the 'LswissL'. I thought is was suppose to say L swiss made L? No biggy tho. enjoy your watch Had a very quick look round the Panerai website and they did do some special models with LswissL - one being a Luminor Marina Militaire 1998 Special Editions. Quite curious now!
Fiddo 0 Posted July 3, 2010 In general- The PAM111 came with 'L SWISS L' dial between the 111E in 2002 and last sausage dial model, the 111G, in 2004. The PAM111 came/comes with 'L SWISS MADE L' starting with 111H in 2005 and onwards. This model has the sandwich dial. You have a 111 with a sandwich dial. So, it should say "L SWISS MADE L". However, very few people even know this and most don't even know the brand Panerai. When I joined these boards, I did not know what Panerai was.... If fact, I fould them quite unattractive at first. They then started to grow on me. I now have a vast Panerai collection. One of them is actually a gen! Panerai has a very interesting history. It's worth looking into.
