Question about the Rolex tube/crown position

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,

Recently did a trade with a forum member, as I noticed the crown on his rolex is not entirely screwed down.

Is there anyway I can modify the tube to make the crown tightly sit with the case?

Thank you for any suggestions

Yawn.

SSTEEL

It could be a number of things causing this. One could be the stem is too long, another, the tube is not screwed in fully. Best war to find out is by de-casing the movement, and then to try the stem/crown, and see if its the same or not.

ty for the input . I haven't physically seen the watch, but the seller said it appears to be the case, i won't get my hope up that the crown is simply not screwed down tightly.

As seller implied, this could be a case of over-decasing, so i believe the only solution is to make the stem shorter?
