_DC_ 218 Posted November 12, 2013 I want to start by saying I was never a fan of the Aquanaut, I think I actually posted to that effect about 3 days prior to buying this watch, go figure! I always thought it was the ugly sister of the Nautilus, the dial was too big, the numerals too cartoonie and the rubber strap too much like a tyre tread and not at all "Patek" However, I was on the look out for a casual watch and this came up at a great price on M2M from Tommylad, with the SW200 movement, so I pulled the trigger....... boy am I glad I did!!!! When it arrived I was firstly struck by how small it's proportions seemed compared to how it looks in photos, this is not a big watch, and straight away the more understated size blew away any fears I had about the dial size or the cartoonie appearance. On the contrary, with it's multiple surface finishes and shimmering black dial it's every bit as classy as a Nautilus, and because of it's more "conventional" looks it's if anything less gaudy than it's big brother! So onto pics, and first up it all came apart for a good clean!! After a good polish and clean up it was looking good as new..... almost Then time to put it all back together again Note to self, NEVER take the strap off a 5167 EVER again, it's a bitch to get back on, but after about 40 minutes of micro surgery it was back together and time to get some more shots for you all... And finally a few wristies, which reminds me, this is by a considerable margin the most comfortable watch I've ever owned. It's so light and the rubber strap doesn't pull on the skin or make your wrist all sweaty, it's absolutely lovely to wear! Hope you enjoyed my mini review! _DC_ 218 Posted November 12, 2013 Thanks guys, just glad I came round to buying one! The only problem now is because it's so comfortable I can see the rest of my collection getting left out! DC
Paul Roberts 0 Posted November 16, 2013 Looks amazing! Apologies for ignorance - but what is 'M2M from Tommylad'?

TheInthusiest 0 Posted November 16, 2013 I can see you struggled. You scratched up the lugs nicely. haha I guess you can cover it up by saying you "lightly aged" the piece. Great watch!

Haha, yeah, although those scratches weren't me, if you look at the pic of the caseback before re-assembly you can see they were already there, I used my fingernails and a lot of wiggling and twisting to put the pins back in place, no scratchy scratchy from me!! I guess maybe I'm not the first person to take off this ladies shoes!! DC
