Armida A8 brass diver picture review

Recommended Posts

McJules

Hi Gents! i received my new armida diver today and thought it was worth a small review since it's a nice piece!

first of all, this watch is not made from bronze but brass. some people hate, some love.

it's the same material as the magrette regattare and the maranez layan.

the watch is rated at 300m but i'm not a diver so it will only see some pools and a bit of ocean once in a while.

powered by a Seiko NH35A automatic movement, i have no doubt it will be a reliable piece!

case size is 42mm but take a look at the pics for size comparison with a pam 243.

the crystal is saphirre, 2.5mm thick.

for 349$ a pop, including fedex shipping, it was a real bargain!

ordered the watch friday and received today! talk about fast shipping ;)

as you can see, nothing's very different at first sight compared to our td's.

styrofoam box to protect the package.

once i opened it up, the ''box'' was a waterproof plastic tube that can be usefull for many things later on.

inside the tube was a foam insert with the watch and fun bits

the watch comes with 2 straps, wich in my case are 2 olive color ones. a nato and a rubber strap.

included as well are 2 bezels, one solid brass and one with ceramic insert that matches your dial color choice.

in my case, i chose the green with vintage orange lume, no date.

the watch seems to be very well made and solid. the bezel is tight and easy to grip.

since the watch is made from brass, some may be worried to have their wrist stained in green.

no worries, the case back is made from stainless steel ;)

as you can see, even if it's a 42mm, it wears big. almost same size as my pam 243!

you can see here, where i placed the A8 on top of the 243. you can barely see the pam under

some wrist shots with the solid brass bezel, wich will be my usual choice

wrist size is around 7.5''

I dig the vintage lume and the sword hands: Bought my OVM for those exact reasons.

For those who are interested, the A8 green no date that McJules has is now sold out

Also, Armida has a new A7 cushion shaped brass diver coming out in 6 days!

.. A7.. just in

Overall, well built; Ceramic bezel insert... Brass bezel, NATO + extra spring bars also included.

Generous amount of lume material applied - yeah it glows!
