HeavyKrush 16 Posted November 29, 2013 Longines Master Collection Retrograde! Just arrived today, an early Christmas present from my wife. I've been lusting after this gem for some time now. Really a great looking watch. Love the "snap back" retrograde function on the seconds hand. Very very stoked gents. Quick review... Here are the specs: Case: Round, in stainless steel with scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Transparent sapphire-crystal case back. Diameter:44.00 mm. Water-resistant to 3 bar (~100 feet). Movement: L698 self-winding mechanical movement of frequency 28,800 vibrations per hour, providing 46 hours of power reserve. Functions: Hours, minutes. Retrograde hand displays: day at 12 o'clock, date on the right-hand side of the Dial, small second at 6 o'clock, and 24 hour-second time zone on the left-hand side of the Dial. Dial: Silver-finished "barleycorn" patterned featuring 11 black Roman numerals. Blue steel hands. Bracelet: Brown Alligator-skin strap with triple folding buckle and push-piece opening mechanism. The watch wears very similar to my IWC, light and comfortable. The "barleycorn" texture on the dial is pretty cool in person. The gator strap ins't anything to write home about. I will likely make a new strap for it in gloss black gator. The dial has retrograde seconds, GMT, day, and date. Day, date and GMT are all set from pushers in the case of the watch. I was looking for a watch that I could wear dressed up and casual with a lean towards dress and this watch seemed to really fit that requirement. For sure will see some desk time mate!
