Anti-Reflective Coating

Recommended Posts

The AR on my Speedmaster Date rep, that was once blue, has now turned to a yellow tint. Is there a way to either a) get the crystal refinished with AR :beer2: strip the AR completely or c) add a gen crystal if the rep case accepts gens? Are there any other solutions for fixing this yellow tint?

I have a gen dial for it that is black, and the yellow tint of the AR gives the dial a brown-ish tint.

Twogeek.net in Singapore or fineDD in Europe are two I know of, Chief I think has no more runs until later in the year.

I'm sure others will chime in when they arrive with more help. :beer2:

If you want a blue tint, FineDD may not be the right one. I have had quite a few done by him and they tend to be yellowish.

The results seem to vary. But mostly the tint is very faint and so far it has not bothered me.

...a bit of elbow grease with a cape cod will remove the exsisting AR mate...
