Member X 91 Posted July 11, 2010 Well, another first in my repworld experiences! I've received an invoice from FedEx, for "Disbursements out of the scope of EU VAT", with an Admin Charge on top (grrr). On the second page it gives a whole load of text that seems to refer to the package details, then has some "Tax code Information". It would seem that they've charged me 'Deferred Revenue' under 'Tax Type B00'? It's not a massive amount so I don't mind paying it, I just think it's a bit weird... US to UK is always fine, or so I thought... Any recommendations? I don't see how I can get out of paying it but just worry a little about going on a list! lol Cheers all. Brightlight 0 Posted July 12, 2010 B00 is VAT. A quick Google should tell you that. Fedex and DHL admin charges are quite reasonable compared with what you get charged if Parcelforce get their hands on it!!
greg_r 83 Posted July 12, 2010 I tend to avoid FedEx wherever possible as they ALWAYS charge VAT + handling.

narikaa 129 Posted July 12, 2010 Go to a secluded place Sit quietly and let your attention fall onto the movement of your breath As your mind stills and thoughts become fewer - gently introduce this mantra: " Never, never, never use FedEx, DHL or any other thieving independent carrier" Keep repeating it, & if spurious thoughts interrupt dont worry, just gently come back to the mantra. Gradually over an extended time of this practise it will become part of your sub concious and you wont fall foul again. As an aside the sure fire answer to these 'after the fact' invoices is to have the shipment made in another's name c/o your address Then when the invoice eventually comes you ring them up and tell them 'John Doe was a lodger who left - owing you rent - not long after his overseas parcel came. Now believe hes off backpacking in Northern India, but should you find him I'd appreciate it if you'd get my (insert figure) owed rent' Cheers them up no end .
