Any suggestions on a quality tourbillon rep, that's reasonably priced?

You're going to pay $5-600 plus for anything with a tourby these days. Most of the tourby reps around use the same movement, so it's very much a case of picking something you like the look of - however do bear in mind that it's very difficult to find anybody to service these things...

Well, either Ufanta is selling it or it fell out of a box of crackerjacks....

..... or possibly out of a pig's bottom

One of Ufanta's all-time classics ;)

Regarding the tourbillon: I heard they fail very often after a short time, and it is not possible to service them. Is that right? They obviously look very complicated..

The Chinese tourby movements are high-quality and tend to be reliable, however it's VERY difficult to find someone who can service them due to their complexity (and they're certainly going to need servicing sooner or later).

Looked into some of these earlier in the year. There's a sterile one in a Rad case out there for around $600.

You can find some things on eBay - not everything is actual tourbillon movement, so careful. I have bought things from this site before with OK success...

But you really should research the movement. Ask for the details of who makes them. They aren't all the same within his collection. Some are Seagull, some unknown (at least to me) Chinese manufacturers. Auctions go for around $600 or so. "Buy it now" is a rip off. And expect a "Second Chance Offer" if it gets above some min value - I think that's his standard practice to maximize the price. I don't think I have ever won an auction from him.

SeaGull makes quite a few under their own name - you can check their web site. $2K-5K, but you get a reasonable warranty.

Good luck.
