Foxindebox 472 Posted December 10, 2013 Hi all, I just thought I would share a picture of my latest acquisition. I'm too skint for a Grand Seiko and too tight to pay out for a King Seiko (when I really want a GS), but I found this little beauty on the bay... It's a 1970 Seiko Lord Matic cal 5601 Not too keen on the bracelet as it should be an LM Signed Beads of Rice (I'll try and hunt one down) and this one is a little....... Jangly? Although it might look nice on a good quality shiny black gator. More pics (not phone) to follow Cheers

Foxindebox 472 Posted December 10, 2013 Lovely GS mate. I would love a new one but wouldn't turn my nose up at a nice original vintage number either. There are some nice ones on eBay...... must resist for now!!!
Foxindebox 472 Posted January 4, 2014 Hi Guys, I've just finished restoring this: - The movement needed a clean and oiling, the dial feet were broken, so the dial was spinning free and the case and crystal were scratched to buggery! I think it looks nice now and have been working really hard on it to get it looking like this. Hope you like it
ShovelnTC 31 Posted January 18, 2014 I first fell in love with the Seiko's in the late sixties when a buddy received one for a gift, we were both about 9 years old and he used to let me wear his for an hour or so every now and then and I still remember the excitement that I felt about that way back then. Didn't get to own one for at least a decade later. Lovely watches, Enjoy!
