Hamilton Mount Vernon -- SCORE -- UPDATED

I could not resist this eBay find.... I snapped it up for $210 + free shipping. Fully working. From a proven eBay seller. Ashford discount retail is $695!!

When the watch comes in, the case will be polished. If the strap is salvageable, I will clean it, and if not, fresh croc will be put on this beauty!

The watch is on the big side for a tonneau - 37mm across without the crown, but I have 7.5" wrists so it will be great. :D:D

Here are the auction pics, but I will post Before and After pics as I clean it up!

For $210 you sure got a killer deal my friend :)

And it's a quite nice looking watch at that. With a little polishing up (which I have just seen the difference a little polishing can make in my "got that sinking feeling" thread) it will be a real headturner. Congratulations on the good buy :)

This has NOT gone for any sort of polishing.. and may not go at all.. the watch is in better shape than the eBay pics indicate. Here are few quick shots from just now, out of the box:

I had neglected to get out the loupe.

It is clearly marked as an ETA 2895-1 (identical to the 2895-2, but with small seconds at 6)

30 jewels, 28,800 a/h with a 42 hour power reserve, made in 1996.
