mondeov6 0 Posted July 18, 2010 Hi everyone, I am a new member from Sweden. I found this site very interresting and usefull! So of course I had to sign up. I have a few "Germasian" watches that I actually like very much. I also have a few "replicas". I find it quite fun to collect them since I can afford them and they very often looks good as well as works just fine. Of course I have had a few very cheap ones that did not last for long . I will try to upload pictures of the three ones most frequently worn at the moment. Lets see...... First of all a "Rune Sander" automatic fullcalendar, bought on e-bay (just under 34£). This is in my eyes a beautiful well built watch and a great timekeeper. The next one is a "Graf von Monte Whero" quartz. Can not decide wether this one is "to much" when it comes to looks but for some reason I like it anyway. The one I like the most at the moment is this Vacheron Constantin replica. Not that I so far have found any genuine VC looking like this but anyway..... I think it is great looking and have a very nice kind of "carousel/tourbillion" movement? Don´t really know if that is what to call it....... Some people just "hate" replicas and "Germasian watches. I don´t! I have great fun making a small collection of them! Looking forward to being a member of this board! Best regards Rolf Borg
graman 2 Posted July 18, 2010 Hej hej! Welcome to the nuthouse mate! Greetings from Australia. Jump in and have a look around - great people here. Check the threads, and the trusted dealer list. Advice is to stick to the trusted dealer list, particularly for reps and homages. My first day, Highflyingclive (now left the board) said "Read, read, read. First choose your dealer, then choose your watch" Excellent advice. I like your collection so far!...You're going to get the bug....I know it! Va sa god! greg_r 81 Posted July 18, 2010 That VC replica is actually a replica (albeit not very accurate) of a Glashutte. Pretty watch, though - as are the others. Like 'em all! Welcome to RWG! :(

I was going to say, it's technically a fantasy model, isn't it? They're still great, though!

mondeov6 0 Posted July 19, 2010 Hi, Thank´s a lot for all the welcoming replys! This is a great board... even the Aussies speak Swedish! (Good on ya mate!) :gday_mate_haveabeer: Quite nice to find more swedes here to! I know I´m going to like it here. There is so much knowledge, great tips and other things to take part of. About getting the "watch bug"... I think I already have... I have a few more watches coming from Timeshop this week. I really like wathces a lot but still do have a lot to learn... for instance... I bought a VC replica of a Glashutte replica No big deal though... I really like the watch and I am a bit taken by it´s looks and the movement. All the best to you all! Great to be here!
