wc3s3an 0 Posted December 30, 2013 I'm looking on a method to successfully darken this worn out tan strap for a pam292... I read on another forum of a member doing so but havent been able to find out how, or which oil is best to use.... This was his outcome with oil I've read about potentially using mink oil? or saddle back oil?
gottahaverolex 0 Posted December 31, 2013 Buy some Dr. Jackson's hide rejuvenator. It's fantastic stuff. It will darken and soften the leather. I use it when making swedish ammo straps or to darken light leather. Don't use mink oil etc, it ruins the leather smell and stays greasy for a long time. Markrfc 3 Posted December 31, 2013 I use Pecards oil to darken leather jackets works great on them.
chekkarn 0 Posted December 31, 2013 I agree with gottahaverolex with Dr. Jacksons hide rejuvenator. Works great and softens the leather in the same process. You could also use olive oil, but don't over do it.
Kleen™ 45 Posted December 31, 2013 White vaseline oil. Don't use any oil that is not 100% mineral-based..
