R1evans 0 Posted January 4, 2014 Hi guys, got my hands on my Steinhart Ocean One Vintage today and its absolutely fantastic. Its billed as a 42mm,but its a big 42mm,i took a pic next to my 42mm PO and my Steinhart vintage red 42mm,and this is slightly bigger as the bezel overhangs the watch case by about 1mm on each side, but it sits on the wrist just perfectly. The highly domed sapphire crystal gives the matt face a different look when viewing at various angles, and makes the watch 16mm deep. Steinharts new ST.5 swiss made movement,25 jewels,28,800bph,gives a lovely smooth sweep, and the red collar on the crown gives a nice distinctive look. For the money,475 euro,or £400gb pounds, complete with a 2year warranty, you cannot go wrong, the build and the feel are something else, superb,i would recommend this watch to anyone in a heartbeat. Now im no photographer, unlike some of the members, but I done what I could with an iphone 5s,and some pics are better than none.......................

Markrfc 3 Posted January 4, 2014 How long did it take to arrive from order?
Higs 73 Posted January 4, 2014 I really like these but have one tiny issue, the word 'vintage' on the dial. The whole watch has a nice vintage look/feel to it and I have no issue with the 42mm size on a 'vintage' looking watch but, for me at least, putting 'vintage' on the dial is a step too far. It wouldn't stop me buying though if I was heading in that direction.
R1evans 0 Posted January 4, 2014 How long did it take to arrive from order? Mark, Steinhart quote, not for delivery before end of Jan. But a guy I sometimes buy watches from got this just before Xmas, but he was used to subs and found it slightly too big,so to avoid the Steinhart wait,I made him an offer he couldn't refuse. Martinjogs 0 Posted January 5, 2014 Yup, you've got a beauty there mate! Not many watches can carry off the new & vintage together...I think this one does and may just have to look into the brand. Photos are also very nice too.

Kcore 0 Posted January 6, 2014 Beautiful, just a beauty! Wear it in good health. OCD here. I've bookmarked this model on the Steinhart website and must visit it 5 X or more a day. As I'm in the U.S., does anyone know if the cost for me will be the price "without" the 19% VAT? I sent an email to the company but haven't heard back yet. Yes the VAT is only if sold locally, I'm in Australia and didn't pay the VAT, Go for it!.
