Will a Big Block dial fit on a Tudor Tiger Chronograph model?

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I don't like the tiger writing on my Tudor 79270 and am thinking of replacing with a different dial, but the only ones that don't have tiger seem to be the "Big Block" tudors, 79170/180/190. I know the case on the Tiger model is thinner and it takes a saphire glass unlike the Big Block, which is thicker and takes plexiglass, but is there any difference in the dials, mounting feet etc? Anyone with experience with the Tudor Chrono's and dials, please chime in!

Also is the movement any differenet between the two versions?

Thanks

Has no-one tried this at all!? Well, I've sourced a Oyster-date dial and a Tiger watch, so when I get both I guess I'll find out for myself. Watch this space (but don't hold your breath).
