Member X 91 Posted July 23, 2010 This listing looks dodgy as hell to me: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=230502180506 Mainly because it's identical to this one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=230502229241 and the fact he's based in Africa, there are no papers in the pics, and the dial shot is fuzzy as hell... I'm going to ask for a close up of the dial but I think I'm going to report the BIN one as fake as that's a lot for someone to lose on a 'too good to be true' price... apoopoo999 0 Posted July 23, 2010 someone already left him a negative feedback, sounds like a scammer
AustinTech 0 Posted July 23, 2010 The AR on my gen sure isn't that blue. There has been a rash of fakes going up for sale lately. There was a fake on Breitling source dot com for about 3 days until I called the seller out in the thread.
Member X 91 Posted July 23, 2010 Nice one, AT And people say that rep forums are bad... Without them, how would these gen snobs ever know what to look out for??

P_Diddy 0 Posted July 23, 2010 just look at his feedback % score, the lack of positive feedback and his history of sold products definitely a wide boy trying his luck out. If it was guaranteed 100% gen I would buy it but seriously doubt you get a pre-owned SOH for less than £1500! AT, how much was your gen cost you approx? Member X 91 Posted July 23, 2010 Exactly. I just hope no eBay noob falls for it as that's a lot of wedge!!

Member X 91 Posted July 25, 2010 Can someone else report them? I've messaged the guy who left the negative feedback to see if he's paid/received/checked it at an AD, but methinks someone is going to be making a lot of money unless someone at ebay actually sorts their life out... Member X 91 Posted July 26, 2010 Well, reply from the guy who won the first one he was selling, and has since left negative feedback, is as follows: Yes, won the auction, but didn't received the watch because we didn't finished the deal. I don't know if the watch is a genuine breitling, From the sho[w]n pictures I would say yes, as I have several other breitling watches and have quite a good knowledge about that. But who knows if you will receive what is on the picture. To my mind the guy is not serious(-> see my feedback), as I had a lot of trouble with him. Hope this helps. So I asked if he asked him to pay by WU and he came back with: No, he didn´t try to make me pay with Western Union. He is only dumb and arrogant:-He set up the auction then was out for more than one week for holiday -He registered a different e-mail address within his paypal account to that in ebay so it was impossible to finish paypal transaction (I checked with paypal on the phone). -But he first claims that his account was OK and it was my fault. -Then he tried to rip me off with the shipping costs. -He impended to give me negative feedback. -He opened an ebay case etc. All in all the most time consuming and annoying ebay transaction I ever had. Dodgy or what lol The sellers case isn't helped when I asked him for a clearer photo of the dial to be added! hi there unfortunataly i cant add more pictures as soon as the auction has stareted, but the picture on the listing is quite close? - startrade Er, yeah, because no-one ever adds extra photos, do they... I've asked for a link to an uploaded photo on imageshack - we will see what happens... At least no-one bought that BIN one, I just have to try and get this other one removed that idiots are bidding on...

Member X 91 Posted July 29, 2010 And he's sold it AGAIN: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=230504196945 Has anyone got a phone number or an email address for ebay? It's a fucking joke trying to actually send a plain email to them, you go round and round in circles looking for an address or ANY form where you can type more than 100 characters to report someone...
trailboss99 996 Posted July 29, 2010 Nope, eBay won't talk on the phone. If you email [email protected] or [email protected] and demand an email addy or phone number they are obliged to provide it tho.
Member X 91 Posted July 29, 2010 Really? Thanks for the info - I'm emailing them off the 'contact us' thing now (having finally found somewhere you can write a decent amount) so will see how that goes... Surely, if they're made aware of someone selling reps, they are aiding and abetting if they fail to do anything about it??
Member X 91 Posted July 29, 2010 Ok, message sent to ebay... Hi, I am writing because I have been submitting reports that a seller is selling counterfeit goods at vastly inflated prices, but so far none of my reports have been acted on so I was hoping you would confirm you will look into the matter. The seller is this person: http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/startrade/ He has now listed identical listings under the following numbers (that I know about): http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=230491653294 Sold for £810.02 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=230502180506 Sold for £855 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=230502229241 Sold for £720 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=230504196945 Sold for £802 I make that £3187.02 for four fake watches that can be bought for under £700 if you wanted to do so - which the buyers don't because they are being tricked into thinking it is not counterfeit, due to the fact the listings are not being investigated, suspended or removed. That is an obscene amount of money being conned out of buyers. This replica is listed on numerous replica sites, such as these two: http://www.worldwide-watches.com/breitling...e-version-p-630 http://www.bigbigwatch.com/BREITLING---Sup...-2824-2592.html and as you can see from the photos, the luminous dots next to the hour markers are not quite printed correctly - they are slightly misplaced: http://www.bigbigwatch.com/upimage/200809090042306137_s.jpg You can *just about* see this on the dial on the photos listed by the seller I'm reporting - and when I asked for him to put a clear, zoomed in photo of the dial on the listing, his reply to me that "unfortunataly i cant add more pictures as soon as the auction has stareted, but the picture on the listing is quite close?" clearly indicates he is reluctant to do so because it will show this flaw that indicates it is a fake. Other indications are that there is no photograph of the box or papers that he states are present, and he's listing it for half the price (or less) that it auctions for normally. Further to this, my correspondence with the buyer who has left negative feedback on his account indicates the seller is out to make as much money as he can. "-He registered a different e-mail address within his paypal account to that in ebay so it was impossible to finish paypal transaction (I checked with paypal on the phone). -But he first claims that his account was OK and it was my fault. -Then he tried to rip me off with the shipping costs. -He impended to give me negative feedback. -He opened an ebay case" (He is the only one to leave negative feedback so far as the seller has only just started selling, having built some reputation up by buying a small number of items previously, but I would bet money on there being more very shortly...) PLEASE can someone investigate this and suspend any further sales until (what I expect to be negative) feedback is left from these sales? It would seem that ebay is aiding and abetting the sale of counterfeit goods if advised on numerous occasions that they are being sold, but no action is taken. Thanks in advance for your help with this, I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience. Yours sincerely, Paul I stopped short of "Something has to be done!!!" and "Think of the children!!11!!1" but I don't think even that would stir them into action lol (Notice I only pointed them towards scam sites, though - I'm not as silly to point them towards the decent dealers )

Member X 91 Posted August 3, 2010 Ok, that seller seems to have disappeared at the moment but I'm keeping an eye on things... How about this one? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=260635844907 Looks pretty gen, the pics are great and the lume dots look well lined up - or do they? Check out the dot at 1 o'clock? Looks very slightly dodgy to me. Other potential tells? The clasp isn't closing properly, exactly what the rep clasp does... Hmmm... barkingtoad 2 Posted August 3, 2010 Cant tell off them pics if there is a ring around the lume dots, 1 oclock looks ok on some pics & off on others
