tomeeee 0 Posted July 30, 2010 (edited) i have replica Omega Seamaster Professional - James Bond edition. its a great watch and i have used it every day for over a year. recently the Helium Escape Valve un screwed its self and has been lost, can any one help me in finding a cheap replacement Helium Escape Valve and spring. i have found this one but it far too expensive seeing as the watch cost me £30 from Dubai. http://watchpart.co.uk/omega-planet-ocean-...115-p-4020.html Edited July 30, 2010 by tomeeee
trailboss99 994 Posted July 30, 2010 Hmmm, a hard one TBH. Try Mary (watchinternational) but it may not be possible. You can always just epoxy it over and embed a crown on a short length of stem in the goo as it sets. Col.
P_Diddy 0 Posted July 31, 2010 buy another rep! £30 is 'too cheap' for it to be worthwhile to be messing about with trying to fix it?
GC 4,489 Posted July 31, 2010 £30 is 'too cheap' for it to be worthwhile to be messing about with trying to fix it? P Diddy... what you wrote is a statement not a question... are you just addicted to using the question mark?
graman 2 Posted July 31, 2010 Tomee...30 quid ain't a great deal in the scheme of things.. What you'll find, is that you need to make a call on how important the watch is to you. If you have an emotional attachment to it, then you'll be prepared to spend some cash on it, otherwise, do what Col suggests, or talk to Mary, or piss it off for scrappage and parts (it will be useful to cannibalise), and get another. I bought my pam127....my first Rep in Chinatown in Kuala Lumpur...it means a lot to me, and it's quite well made. It also has an emotional attachment, although not the most accurate rep, it's pretty good. My son walked into my bathroom a few years back, snatched the watch off the vanity and promptly dropped it on the floor smashing the crystal to oblivion....you probably heard my cries from there... I found a sapphire from DSN and had it fitted...cost me pretty much what the watch cost me, but I like the watch. Now I have to remove it again for an AR treatment You will decide either way....all you need to do is work out how important it is to you and make the choice

tomeeee 0 Posted July 31, 2010 (edited) thought i could have fixed it for £10 or so, looks like its time for a new one (non bond version this time). Some pics before it goes away in a box, shame as it keeps great time. i have put up a £10 reward at home if anyone finds the valve LOL... Luthier 1 Posted August 6, 2010 Looks like you need a new pearl too, mate! I suggest 2 diamonds - one for pearl, another one for HE valve hole. Then sell on repgeek for 2 grands each.
