DR3M3L 4 Posted February 22, 2014 Working on the Hublot of my fellow dutchie Stuvetjee, he'll visit me tomorrow so have to get it done by then As the watch was gaining 400 sec a day and the demagnetizing didn't changed anything I just started to disassamble the whole movement and look at every part for damage or dirt. Going to clean now.... Wish me luck!

1littlegreen 1 Posted February 22, 2014 My oh my, that is a fun movement to work on. I wish you the best of luck there, and yes I do have faith in the skills, not the movement. You probably have this, but I will link it anyway. It has helped me a number of times http://www.eta.ch/swisslab/7750/7750.html

The movement should run fine IF anything goes as planned, but indeed the movement is not very reliable but it's worth a try Good luck mate! That's some number of pieces there Thanks mate! SSTEEL 0 Posted February 22, 2014 Respect Joran, I am just about ready to fully service 28XX series movements, but have a long way to go before I will service a 7750, in fact, I hate the A7750, like a mine field. Did you find anything during the strip down, and inspection of the parts that could be the cause of the poor timekeeping?
DR3M3L 4 Posted February 22, 2014 Respect Joran, I am just about ready to fully service 28XX series movements, but have a long way to go before I will service a 7750, in fact, I hate the A7750, like a mine field. Did you find anything during the strip down, and inspection of the parts that could be the cause of the poor timekeeping? I found the pearl holder thing (I'm soo bad with names, don't know how it's called..) of the balancewheel to be out of place; Which has been fixed now, also the main spring is dirty as fuck! Just cleaned the thing but it was almost black... And you should buy a 7750 just to get started, it's a fun movement to work on! Only not as stable in placement of parts as the 28xx serie. .. :P

DR3M3L 4 Posted February 22, 2014 Fuck, everything went great, totally assambled, but then.... The fucking last part!!! Almost the easiest thing :s The balance wheel... It was alreading ticking, then I notised the jewel holder was loose, wanting it to get it in place shooting the jewel across the table.. Damnit!!!! Searched over an hour for the damn thing but didn't found it :s Anyone knows how to fix this or where to get a jewel? I fucking failed :( :(

JSJ 0 Posted February 22, 2014 Joran, bad luck. There is an eBay seller flordelrio who sells (claimed) gen parts for Swiss 7750s. He has a lot of items listed. I just bought a 7750 part number 8690 Hour Counter Lock which came quickly from Egypt. Maybe worth a look. Hope that helps.
