Pharmo 33 Posted March 17, 2014 Well not quite.. I wish After seeing this beaut I just had to recreate the same look.. so there the journey started... First I had to source a Seiko 5 that looked similar. Unfortunately the model I was after was only available in US and my man Realism helped me there by sourcing the watch and the hands and shipping it to me... This baby was just beautiful as she was - but some plastic surgery was required.. The plan was to change the hour and minute hands to the grand Seiko style and the second hand to a blue one. I had anticipated this moment and had bought all the tools (presto etc...) but keeping in mind my recent slaughter of a non working dial (practice run!) I thought I better leave this to the experts as I had gone to so much trouble to source her... So I found a local watchsmith who only charged me £10 to change the hands over. In order to complete the look I sourced the burgundy strap from Germany as I wanted a smaller then normal size... And here is the beauty...my favourite Seiko at present and a comparison shot... Not bad for under £100.....Always amazes me its how the little things in life are what brings a lot of pleasure (wife may disagree though )

Kcore 0 Posted March 17, 2014 I like it a lot! Is it possible to remove that number 5 on the dial under the Seiko? Is it an applied marker? IMO, removing it would make a world of difference in transforming it. Wear it in health!

Pharmo 33 Posted March 17, 2014 Hmmm..I wonder if the 5 would be too difficult to remove. It's seems to be applied..
