Panerai Purdey

Recommended Posts

I didnt know Panerai made a Purdey watch until the other day whilst cruising around the web. I know a few reps exist but wouldnt opening the cover to see the time all the time drive you mad? Plus what is the durability of the catch that hold the cover closed like?

Would make a nice display piece though.

Yes, opening the cover would drive me nuts - which is why I've never bought one :D

I believe the reps are pretty solidly made, though.

They were all over the place. Dunno whether they're still available though - try Timesshop.

I bet WE has a hundred of them in every colour of the rainbow

If I was getting one of those I'd get a Panerai Sealand instead. The official watch of my

favourite principality.

Yup. Complete with spelling mistakes, broken hinges and made from old toilet seats....

The gen is beautifully engraved. Not sure how they could replicate that with machines or children, but maybe? I always thought it was a women's watch.

I bought it a few years ago from a trusted dealer. Hardly ever wear it, but it is well engraved and I've had no issues with it.

Can you show us the actual face of it? Not the watch, the cover.

I am sorry, but if you wear a watch called "Purdey", you cannot be 100% heterosexual. Which is fine of course, but just so you know, you fall somewhere in the middle on the male-female spectrum...

I should have said the cover NOT the dial but thanks for that. Its the first clear shot of the dial I have seen. As for Purdey you do know it was made for the gun company, Purdey? The worlds finest shot guns?

I don't wear one but I am not homophobic. Like I said, having an ambiguous sexual orientation is fine and I respect anyone who has that little cock-hunger once in a while. HOWEVER, I would rather not wear a Purdey and run the real risk that someone with that special appetite will confuse me with a like-minded individual and try to shove his wang up my ass.

So, in summary, I don't want to get a meat injection - so I just say "no" to the Purdey - but that doesn't make me a homophobe.

When I visit each time this place, you are all making ugly insinuations.

I think you say meat but really you speak of the penis.

Welcome, welcome Michelle,

OMG...when they said "meat" did they really mean penis...???

If this is true ?...John..shame, shame on you. :irish_dance:

Michelle, these are a great group here at RWG. You found the right place. Lots of great information and wonderful people here. There are no finer people anywhere. I hope you will enjoy your time here. This is the best watch forum with the most terrific people.

I told you there needed to be a "just girls" sub-forum here...for guy talk translations. :irish_dance:

I was confused about what is ugly...it must be the insinuations !

I don't actually know you that personally wat44, but I agree with you ... I think.

I am a vegetarian, and so I don't call meat anything, but especially not penis.

I agree with you even if I don't consume meat or have a penis (biologically)

I think it is a lost in translation issue...John's and/or Michelle's.

No harm no foul.

:irish_dance:

I think you meant to say you are strongly against calling your penis meat and/or ugly...

but I could be wrong.

I don't understand the question at the presupposition level.

Wat hangs on my answer?

I don't think your question is why am I a vegetarian.

I think you are asking what I consume?

Vegetables- Yes !

Meat- No !

Does meat=penis? The answer is No.

Is this reply clear?
