twofake 0 Posted March 23, 2014 I am restoring an 18K gen watch and the screws measure 0.88mm thread thickness (includes the thread). I need to tap the hole in the watch case back. Do you think the tap needs to be 0.8mm or 0.9mm? Is the screw classified as a 0.8 or a 0.9mm screw? I was planning to replace the stainless steel screws with 18K screws from Otto Frei but the dimensions are not the closest: My total screw length is 2.7mm from top of head to bottom of screw and head diameter is 1.3mm (I could always trim the gold head smaller) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
