My vintage half dozen

Recommended Posts

edwinowl

Had a lazy Sunday afternoon and thought I'd put my babies together for a group shot, only an I phone pic as couldn't be arsed to get the hardware out. There's some blood sweat and tears in those I can tell you. Feeling I'm pretty much there and gonna just enjoy them now. 2 builds left and I'm done.

Great vintage collection Edwinowl. :cheerleader2:

I liked them all, and am particularly surprised at how nice the Rolex looks.

I am not normally a fan of Rolex/ vintage leather strap, but that one looks absolutely fantastic.

Really impressive collection.

Thanks for sharing

Cheers

Lovely collection. I have 2x vintage PAMs at the minute but suspect I'll own many more as the year progresses. Don't have the skill/patience to do my own, other than assemble the parts. Keen to learn though.

Thanks Aren. The Rolex is a bronze case which has been oxidised. Wasn't cheap. Gulp. Wears really well.

My god yes. I wish I had the money, skills and know how to build something like that. Is that the one in the thread about the TIffany & Co. over at HF? I remember seeing a thread yesterday there and that one was pretty awesome as well.

Edit: just searched there, that was for a Tiffany & Co. Explorer. I didn't think these pics looked familiar.

This started out as a Nejad Landrover build. Bronze mid case oxidised. Hand machined in his shop. I had the dial painted by Bennykwa in Germany. Hands I sorted myself. To be fair wasn't cheap but well worth it. Put a Swiss 6497 in too for a quality build. Plexi needs sorting though as it's not the best quality.
