Rolex Just Quoted Me £1900 For A Service

Hi all,

 

Put my Submariner in for a service last week and received the below quote today from Rolex in London.

 

Quote to service and renew worn parts £1900

 

Bracelet worn £800

Dial blistered £450

Handset £55

Bezel insert £37

Crystal £108

Service £430

 

Robbing gits.

Yeh that sounds about right. Mine was £1800 last time. But i just switched to a Nato strap and told them not to bother with the strap work. That knocked off £750.

Their service department/customer service is shocking... £600 to put a bezel back onto a 14 month old watch.

 

Never buying a watch from them again.

You should write them and ask what kind of lube they use before they bend you over the barrel.

ah i was gonna say send it to Wiz, or if you are willing to send it to the us there is a registered watch guy out here thats on RWI as a service guy. He's out of Chicago has a jewelry shop etc.

Just got my OMEGA PO from official service! Paid 250 EUR for mechanics check, lube and case/bracelet polishing! But this is sick, whats up with Rolex? :noway:

As much as I love watches I could never pay £1800 for a service, daylight robbery doesn't even come close. I would imagine you can part/ex it for much more, add £1800 and get a brand new one, and that's probably the strategy Rolex hopes for.
