DG335 0 Posted March 30, 2014 Decided to branch out further into the Poljot powered manual winding watches. This model 5012C with the Aviator number 3105-1735390-ST honors the russian pilot Wiktor Wassiljewitsch Talalichin - his name and his plane are shown on the dial and also nicely engraved on the watchback. Wiktor Wassiljewitsch Talalichin was a famous Russian pilot in the Second World War. He was awarded the title "Hero of the Soviet Union." Powered by the 17 Jewel Poljot SU 3105 and 21600 bph and 42 hour power reserve I found it gaining about 25 secs/day to begin with and required just some minor adjustments to get it +/- 2. Amazing that the supplier can't get that right! 45 mm diam with polished and brushed stainless body. I took off the leather strap supplied and replace it for the alternative stainless. Nice feel when on and my only criticism is the really shit lume. Maybe those Russian pilots ate carrots for all meals? Some shots

Mr Stubbs 0 Posted March 30, 2014 I admire the design of the hands, shaped like propeller blades and nicely proportioned for the size. The links of the bracelet are different and elegant. I give it a 10 out of 10. I could see myself owning this. Is the lume as cream-yellow as it appears in the photos?
RichardMiami 4 Posted March 30, 2014 nice watch. As it is Gen, I am moving this into the Gen section
DG335 0 Posted March 30, 2014 Cheers RM. Couldn't use iPhone properly ;-) Yes it is but not strong. Needs a Kenny makeover
nyckid 0 Posted March 30, 2014 I really like this watch, Dunc. Clean design and a powerful story behind it and that, makes it valuable. Good move on the metal strap. Although, I can pictrure it with a nice black croc and it wouldn't look so bad;
